Pasco VINELink Record Fields

A “released” event means the reporting custodian says its custody ended. It does not always mean the person entered the community. Pasco may release someone to FDC, another county, federal officials, or immigration custody. Check the destination or movement record before describing the event.
Timing needs the same care. A reported release may arrive after the agency completes its own processing, and data can be corrected. If a person still appears in Pasco In Custody, the county event has not yet been confirmed. Pasco VINELink Self-Registration Rule
The Sixth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s local FAQ draws a useful county distinction. It describes automatic jail enrollment in neighboring Pinellas, but directs people connected with Pasco cases to register themselves through VINELink for phone or email contact. That makes the enrollment steps more than a general convenience for Pasco County. An interested person should not assume a notice is already active merely because a case or booking exists.

The practical response is to keep contact details current and verify the source record rather than treating silence as evidence that no release occurred.
Registration details should be checked after any transfer. A county jail record and an FDC record can refer to the same person through different identifiers and reporting streams. Save the Pasco booking number, DC number if one is later assigned, and the exact agency attached to each alert. That small record makes it easier to explain a notification to Corrections or FDC and reduces the risk of comparing two unrelated events.
